It can be brushed and washed down, is animal friendly and preserves its appearance over time as compared to ordinary turf. In most situations we dig to 10cm, lay a weed resistant membrane, add a compacted layer of coarse ballast / aggregate, then a compacted layer of grit sand before laying the artificial turf.  The turf seams are invisibly joined using jointing tape and adhesive. The edges can be finished by wrapping the turf around rot treated wooden batons or they can be trimmed using a wide choice of available natural stone types. Can artificial turf / grass be installed over concrete ? Yes, it is easily glued to hard surfaces including flat roofing. How durable is artificial grass / turf ?
